R. Shane Ritter, PE, Phd, RCDD, LC, Leed

Shane has over 25 years of experience in electrical engineering, and multi-disciplined Project Management working in commercial, industrial, healthcare and critical facilities environments. In these environments, Shane has worked on both the contractor and the engineering side of projects providing design, construction management, project management, startup and commissioning services. Shane’s technical area is electrical systems from 13.8kV to 120V and other low voltage systems including over current protection, protective relaying, device coordination, power quality, critical power redundant systems, voltage control, grounding, motors, lighting design, fire alarm, controls, and data/telecom distribution.


Shane has served as the Director of Electrical Engineering for several other companies having responsibility for all electrical portions of projects and the electrical design personnel. In this role, Shane oversaw numerous commercial, institutional, & industrial electrical designs for various clients. Shane was also responsible for all electrical design policies and procedures for the electrical department as well as the day to day management duties for the electrical personnel.


Shane served as the Supervising Electrical Engineer and Infrastructure Team Leader for various Critical Facilities clients including the Bank of America and Office Depot. In this role, Shane was responsible for the electrical systems and service for the Data Centers, Trading Floors, NER rooms and all other Critical loads for these clients and was responsible to insure that they strived for 100% up time. This included working with many Tier systems utilizing various redundant schemes involving generators, uninterruptible power supplies, static switches, and other various continuous power equipment.


As a project manager, Shane has worked on numerous commercial, institutional, & industrial electrical designs for various clients managing multi engineering disciplines. Shane is very familiar with and capable of managing electrical, HVAC/Mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, structural and civil engineering disciplines as well as performing the electrical design on any size project. Shane has managed all size and types of projects varying from the small to medium sized project up to multimillion dollar projects.
